EMA Ribbon Scalping
Classic TAWhen the ribbon aligns and expands, the path of least resistance is obvious.
how ema ribbon scalping works
What it does
Four EMAs (8, 13, 21, 34) form a ribbon. A perfect stack means every short-term horizon agrees, but a flat, just-touching stack is weak. This version confirms the entry with price leading the ribbon, the stack being freshly formed, the ribbon actively expanding (8–34 gap widening), and candle momentum.
How it works
- 1Compute the 8, 13, 21 and 34-period EMAs (drawn as the ribbon).
- 2Confirm 1: price leads the whole ribbon. Confirm 2: EMAs stacked in order.
- 3Confirm 3: the stack just formed (fresh). Confirm 4: the ribbon is expanding.
- 4Confirm 5: the close pushes past the prior close. Needs four-plus.
