Change of Character (CHoCH)

What it does

A downtrend is a habit of lower highs and lower lows. The Change of Character is the first break of that habit, price closing beyond the most recent counter-swing. It's early and aggressive, so this version confirms: the prior structure was genuinely trending, the break candle is decisive, and momentum has flipped.

How it works

1. 1Read the swing sequence to establish the prevailing trend.
2. 2Confirm 1: the prior structure was clearly trending. Confirm 2: a close breaks the counter-swing (CHoCH).
3. 3Confirm 3: a decisive break candle (>50% body). Confirm 4: close-over-close momentum flips.
4. 4Three-plus checks required, CHoCH is early, so confluence matters.
